Celebrity Laser Spa  is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of our new medically-supervised weight loss program on May 11, 2010.  CLS (aka Tattoo MD) specializes in cosmetic skin treatments, tattoo removal and laser rejuvenation.  The addition of medically supervised weight-loss is logical for a spa that already focuses on beauty and wellness.

The theft of the $50,000 laser last month from Sunrise Community Outreach in downtown Los Angeles is a real shame.  This program provided a way for gang members to erase tattoos from their past and start a better life.  A thief smashed the windows and wheeled out the laser down the street.  These lasers all have serial numbers and are very limited in number, so it’s unclear what could be financially accomplished by doing this.  Unfortunately, the center did not have burglar alarms nor business insurance against equipment loss.  If anyone has further information that could help in the case, please contact them at www.sunriseoutreach.org/

This has been long in the making but Tattoo MD Medispa is becoming….Celebrity Laser Spa!  All our staff and services are staying the same.  We are re-branding ourselves to emphasize the celebrity-level skin treatments we offer.  When you come to Celebrity Laser Spa, YOU are the Celebrity and you will be treated like one.  Tattoo MD will remain an important component of Celebrity Laser Spa and we will continue to offer the best available laser tattoo removal.  Check out celebritylaserspa.com, which we just rolled out.  We will be gradually transitioning over to the new website.

Dysport (a botulinum toxin) is now available at Tattoo MD.  Dysport has the same uses as Botox and is an alternative.  Both the price and duration are similar in comparison to Botox but individual variations in response are possible.  See the Botox and Dysport page for more information.
Restylane and Perlane are hyaluronic acid injectable fillers that are similar to Juvederm.  Perlane is useful for deeper and longer lasting wrinkle correction yet can be used for lip augmentation.  See our injectable fillers page for more information.

Due to popular demand, Tattoo MD is expanding our hours.  Starting in January, we will be open from 10 am until 8 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  Fridays and Saturdays will remain 10 to 6.  We hope that this schedule will accommodate more people that are free only in the evenings. We will be performing laser tattoo removal and all our other services during all these new hours.

Tattoo MD Medispa now carries .4 ml Juvederm syringes.  The standard size of Juvederm is .8 ml and is a sufficient amount to treat nasolabial folds.  Enough may be left over after treatment to allow for a little lip augmentation as well.   Or the whole syringe could be used for lips alone.  The advantage of the .4 ml syringe is the ability to use a smaller amount of filler for certain areas, such as subtle lip augmentation or treating marionette lines (next to the chin).  It’s also excellent for touch-ups when you don’t wish to purchase a full .8 ml syringe.

Since September, new regulations by the medical board in Nevada have gone into effect barring medical assistants from injecting Botox and injectable fillers, as well as performing some other treatments.  Apparently, there was recently controversy surrounding medical assistants injecting Botox in Las Vegas.  See the link to this article about it.  We find it surprising that medical assistants were ever allowed to do these highly-skilled injections.  However, if you are  a patient in Nevada and are having trouble finding a provider for Botox, come to TMD Medispa, where our expert physician assistant performs Botox and dermal filler injections.

We throw big Botox parties at TMD now and then.  These are fun and the patients that attend tell us that the experience is very enjoyable.  Some people may prefer to have their own “private Botox party.”  Now you can arrange a private Botox party for you and at least two others at TMD Medispa.  If you schedule at least you and 2 friends back to back to get Botox treatment, everyone receives Botox for only $9/unit.*  We will even provide refreshments!  Call to inquire on how to set this up!
